Hyundai Mobis Phoebus (KBL) signed 27-year old American forward Shawn Long (208-112kg-93, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports). He spent the last season at United in Australian NBL league. In 31 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 9.5rpg (#2 in the league), 1.1apg and 1.1bpg last season. Long helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Center of the Year, named to 2nd Team and named to All-Imports Team.
The previous (2019) summer he played at Guizhou Guwutang Tea (also in NBL) in Chinese. But in only one game he recorded just point, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 2019 season.
Long has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won Sun Belt Tournament in 2014. Long was also voted All-Sun Belt Player of the Year back in 2016.
He represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) five years ago. Long's team won Bronze.
He is quite experienced player. Long has played in four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in NBA (Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers), China (Xinjiang FT) and NBA G League (Delaware Blue Coats).
Long attended University Louisiana at Lafayette until 2016 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
